VMSCL CONCORD - in agreement with being the best

FROM THE DIRECTOR'S DESK

Learning is symbiotic and so shall it be.

The ADR Board of V.M.Salgaocar College of Law has no doubt been marked in the world Negotiation - Mediation graph. Our students are credited with outstanding performance and achievements at the international competitions. We wish to carry it forward, and spread ADR learning.

We look forward to evolving and documenting good practices, which would aim at betterment of the students, not only as professionals, but also as persons. Negotiation and Mediation, we believe is value embedded, and that is what we stand for.

If conceptual clarity is the foundation; team work and commitment are the pillars on which we build our edifice. Orientation and training sessions by our faculty and experts assure that principled negotiation is inculcated as a culture and as a way of life.

Team work is glaring at all levels, especially when a team is getting set for a competition. Preparation for competitions is never a confined task of the participating team alone. At VMSCL, each team is guided and mentored by another core team, who discuss, deliberate, conduct mock sessions, prepare confidential information and the like.

The ADR Board is now also a platform for students who have excelled and who have had a better exposure in ADR competitions to share their experience, learning, observations and perspectives.

Sharing best practices is the best way to learn  and help learn. Hence this space, vmscl CONCORD where our faculty, students and invitees would be sharing their writings, experience, aspirations and views.

I personally see this as a space to map the beginning of the success and achievements that are awaiting our students, the emerging professionals and fine human beings.
